December 8, 2019 – The Philippines ended the rowing competition with a bronze medal in the men’s lightweight double sculls event at the Triboa Bay in Subic, Zambales.
Edgar Ilas and Roque Abala Jr. finished the course within six minutes and 50 seconds, good for third place.
The duo escaped the Thai combo of Methasit Phrompoem and Pheeraphat Aendu who missed the podium after finishing five seconds late.
It was Indonesia who took the last rowing gold medal, with Mahendra Yanto and Ihram finishing the race in six minutes and 39 seconds.
Vietnam meanwhile took the silver with Nguyen Van Ha and Nhu Dinh Nam paddling for six minutes and 45 seconds.
