Modern Pentathlon: Philippines’ Comaling claims gold in beach triathlete event

December 6, 2019 – Michael Ver Anton Comaling came crusing as he clinches the gold medal in the beach triathlete event of men’s modern pentathlon at the Subic Bay Boardwalk.


Comaling claims the first place, clocking 17 minutes and eight seconds in the process.


Phurit Yohuang of Thailand secured the second spot after finishing the five-part race in 17 minutes and 19 seconds.


Muhammad Taufik, who got gold earlier in the men’s beach laser individual category, settled for bronze within 17 minutes and 37 seconds.


Both Comaling and Yohuang will participate in the mixed beach triathlete event tomorrow to conclude the modern pentathlon events.
