LAS VEGAS — Mark Magsayo’s dream of becoming a world boxing champion is about to come to fruition.

He just has to hurdle a giant obstacle placed in front of him this Saturday night (Sunday morning RP time) at the T-Mobile Arena.

Julio Ceja of Mexico.

But the Filipino from Tagbilaran, Bohol is unfazed and told reporters during yesterday’s press conference for the undercard fighters that he will win his WBC featherweight title eliminator fight via knockout.

Magsayo, who fights under the umbrella of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, totes a ring record of 22-0 with 15 KOs. But his opponent is no pushover, a veteran with an impressive card of 32-4-1 with 28 KOs.

He thanked the senator for the opportunity to battle in the undercard of his main event tiff and credited Freddie Roach for polishing his skills atop the ring.

“Handang handa na,” he told Sports On Air.

Ceja is ready, too, and he harbors similar aspirations and also predicted a win via stoppage.

“Sana manalo tayo. At sana manalo din si Senator Pacquiao,” Magsayo told Sports On Air.

The sportsbooks here have pegged Magsayo as the clear favortie at minus 270 (bet $270 to win $100) over the underdog Ceja (bet $100 to win $220).

Meanwhile. Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr spent some time Sports On Air and predicted a win by Pacquiao, citing that Yerdonis Ugas is tailor-made for the Pacman’s style.

Donaire also revealed that plans are afoot for him to return to the ring in November or December.
