All eyes are at Jayson “Smasher” Mama as he is on the mission to clinch the IBF world flyweight title, currently held by Sunny “Showtime” Edwards in their 12-round encounter set on September 11 at the Copper Box Arena of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, England.

During his appearance in the weekly TOPS Usapang Sports on Air, organized by the Tabloid Organization in Philippine Sports and aired on Sports on Air’s social media accounts, the GenSan-born Mama, despite being an underdog in the fight, is 100% ready and remains to be confident on his preparations against Edwards, who both have unbeaten records in their pro boxing careers. He also reviewed Edward’s playing styles and added sparring partners that matches Edward’s form to come up with a perfect game plan come fight day.

From his regular training in General Santos, he headed to Dubai to continue his conditioning before going to London, 6 days before the fight.

Mama, also thanked the Iglesia ni Cristo and their leadership, of which he is an active member, for their undying support towards his dream to battle in his first world title bout overseas.
